The course “Invisible Histories: Documenting and writing music history after the 20th century” focuses on how histories of the present and recent past is recorded, documented and narrated, by critically investigating “gaps” in contemporary music historiography.
After 13 weeks of groupwork, guided reading and exercises in wiki biography, fictional histories, microhistories, oral history, sensory histories as well as archival art practices, the student groups that completed the course this year present an open, self-reflexive overview of their collective work.
