For this exclusive audiovisual piece, presented by the AI investigation and communication platform Artificia, we go behind the scenes of Aristotle Thessaloniki University’s Chameleon, an AI melodic harmonization system capable of generating musical harmonies that can be interpreted by various musicians. In the 15 minute capsule, a chamber quartet of musicians from Barcelona’s OBC and the Greek pianist Fanny Karagianni will play versions of these harmonies in an interaction between human creation and algorithmic composition.
