Early Music Festival “Dusting musical instruments off”
- This event has passed.
April 6 | 19:00 - 21:30
On Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024, the Museum of Byzantine Culture will host the Early Music Festival entitled “Dusting Musical Instruments off”, at its Reception Area. We will travel to the Renaissance and Baroque eras, through music and we will get to know musical instruments that have now ceased to be widely used.
The Festival includes four concerts, each focusing on one or more early music instruments. Some of these are the baroque flute (traverso), early clarinet (chalumeau), baroque trombone (sackbut), violoncello piccolo and instruments of the lute family. The artists will enrich the concerts with historical facts about the instruments and performance practice.
Concerts begin at 7.00 p.m.
Entrance free
