Extended techniques for strings

The seminary follows a line of arguments that puts in result the most important elements of technics for string instruments as well as their notation. I will discuss analytic elements of the specific notation and their relationship with the resulting sound.
Main topics are the production and notation of pitch, time, color/noise, dynamics, harmonics, multiphonics and micro intervals. Different solutions of notation will be shown by a short overview on the history of notation in contemporary music after 1950, considering graph notation, musical graphics, action notation, space notation, tablature, text scores and the different symbols for new techniques.
