Lectures “Libraries and archives as European heritage” and “Career opportunities after graduating from Schools of Music Studies”

The first lecture is intended to discuss the importance of musical archives as a living part of scientific research and artistic praxis. The lecture will also present empirical research on cultural heritage, archives and libraries.

In the second lecture Dr Kolokytha discusses the perspectives of the graduates of the Schools of Music Studies and the opportunities and possibilities they have in the labor market. It is intended to inform students on different career perspectives work after obtaining the School’s degree.

Dr Olga Kolokytha is a graduate of the School of Music Studies -Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is the academic director of the MA Music Management and the MA in Music for Applied Media at the Centre for Applied Music Research of the Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, Austria and Senior Research Fellow at Universität Wien, where she is lead researcher, for the CICERONE Project, funded by the HORIZON 2020 Programme, reseraching cultural and creative industries (project co-ordinators: University of Amsetrdam). Since 2019 she is also teaching the module International Law and Cultural policies at the MACUMA postgraduate programme του Leuphana Universität Lüneburg.
