Sound Exposition

SOUND EXPOSITION is based on a research project of the Berlin experimental vocal group PHØNIX16 about the border spaces between Orient and Occident, electroacoustics and folklore, noise and composed music. PHØNIX16 presents the fruits of its latest research in Athens, Ioannina and Thessaloniki. The results of this intimate work on traditional greek polyphonic singing and old greek musical traditions will be presented in a concert at MOMus-Museum for Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, on the 1st of June at 8pm. Three members of PHØNIX16 will share the stage with Georgia Tenta, in order to experiment on the fusion of experimental/electronic and traditional musical techniques and offer insight on this electrifying border.
