6 Απριλίου | 19:00 - 7 Απριλίου | 21:30

The Early Music Festival entitled Dusting musical instruments off is a two-day cultural tribute to the music of past centuries by presenting musical instruments that have now ceased to be widely used, from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and the Baroque period, such as baroque flute (traverso), an early type of clarinet (chalumeau), baroque trombone (sackbut), violoncello piccolo, and instruments of the lute family.

The festival includes four musical concerts, each focusing on one or more of them. Participating artists will present historical and construction facts about the instruments and will perform a half-hour musical program. After the end of each concert there will be a discussion with the audience, offering the possibility of developing a fruitful and constructive dialogue with the artists.

Main aim of the festival is to raise the audience’s interest in the music of Renaissance and Baroque period through a historical perspective.

Participants: Aggelakis Giorgos, Bogorad David, Giannos Miltiadis, Goudaroulis Dimos, Kitsos Theodoros, Kleopas Pavlos, Papadonikolaki Melina, Pogrevnois Alexis, Rosopoulou Rania
